Granny square flowers are such a fun way to mix up the traditional and modern styles! This pattern is quick to work up and uses the single crochet stitch and puff stitch as its building blocks. The color combinations that you can use with this pattern are nearly limitless, and you can then use the finished product to create any granny square project you want! While this pattern is for an advanced beginner, I do have a video to help any beginners who want to crochet this flower granny square. Just grab your crochet hook and yarn, and follow along!

Granny squares are a classic crochet motif, but in recent times, people have put different twists on this traditional design. From retro to modern, there are so many granny square pattern options! Personally, I love to mix up multiple styles and stitch combinations to see what works best for whatever granny square project I’m working on, but I also want to make sure that the end result is easy for others to replicate too because I really do enjoy sharing my ideas with all of you!

One of recent granny square style twists is with flowers as the center of the square, and I have to say that it is one of my favorites! I love all of the color combinations possible with these granny square flowers, and you really have the opportunity to make them uniquely suit your preferences and style.

With my granny square flower pattern, you could easily turn the flower into a daisy, a small sunflower, or a colorful blossom from your imagination! I love getting to write patterns that allow you all to be creative, and this easy granny square pattern is really a great opportunity. Whatever colors you choose, I am sure you will have fun creating these for whatever purpose you desire!

These granny squares you could easily work up and make into a blanket, use to create a pouch or tote bag, or whatever you want to use them to create! I actually made them as part of my Petal Pocket Hanger Pattern, and they were so much fun that I had to share them with you as well. Don’t be surprised if you see more granny square flowers in my patterns in the future. I think I might be in love with them.

While I truly do my best to write patterns that are easy to follow, this pattern can be a little tricky if you are not familiar with single crochet granny squares. That is why I put a full length pattern tutorial on YouTube to help you out. I will be crocheting a Granny Square Flower right along with you , so you can see what I am doing for every step, and hopefully get some extra explanation when you need it.
