Lately, I’ve been thinking about change. My husband and I have had a myriad of changes occur in our life with our new little one making his arrival early this summer, and while it has been one of the best events of my life, his arrival and caring for him have made me reflect on my life overall and look deeply at where I need to make some changes, especially with my blog and business. I’ve been brainstorming and planning as a result, and I am super excited to share my thoughts with you here.
Throughout the past year, I’ve felt a lack of motivation to write or create more often than not. Except for a few creations, I have not had the desire to put forth any effort into my blog or crochet, but instead, I’ve been content to simply sit back and be still. I’ve been praying that God would show me how to use these platforms to bring Him glory, since that is always the goal (hence the verse 1 Cor. 10:31), and I feel like God answered through that verse as well.
Whatever you do…
“Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” – 1 Corinthians 10:31
This verse has been the inspiration for my blog and business. I have always enjoyed being creative in so many ways, and I have wanted to bring God glory in all that I did. However, my focus has been really narrow, especially on the business where I mainly do crochet. This has meant that when life gets busy, like with a newborn, and I am really tired and have mom-brain, crochet is the last thing on my mind.
Throughout the time I’ve had my business and blog, I’ve prayed that God would lead me to use them for His glory, and I think recently that He has answered in a way that I did not expect. He refocused my brain to the phrase “whatever you do” in this verse, and He reminded me that everything that I do should be for His glory. With this in mind, I want to share more of my “whatever you do” with you. I am not 100% sure how this will look for all aspects of the blog, but I have been brainstorming and getting excited to see how God will use all aspects of my life for His glory. Just know that there will definitely be some new additions and topics to the blog, and possibly my Etsy shop, in the near future, and you’ll just have to keep an eye out for them! 😉
